The Entrepreneurial Doctor, Marc McKenna

Dr. Mark McKenna, MD, MBA is a licensed doctor who practices surgery and medicine in Georgia and Florida. He is a good leader who is patient and loves doing his job, involved in community service. Marc was a board member of the New Orleans Jazz Festival and is a member of the Entrepreneurs Organization. He was born in New Orleans, LA and attended Tulane University Medical School where he got his medical training. After campus, he went to work with his father and opened up his company at the same time. The company is called Dr. McKenna Venture Investments which was deals with real estates and development of houses.

He went on to get properties like the Universal Mortgage Lending and Uptown Title Inc. His idea of coming up with companies made a milestone and went on to employ more than 50 people who helped in design building, finance, and real estate services.

After the horrific Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, most of his Investments were demolished, and this made him make a bold move of not giving up but rebuilt the city. His idea of forming the OVME came from his experience in the medical aesthetics industry where he saw that opportunities were many. His typical day starts at 6.30 when he wakes up and goes to work at 8 am to 6 pm. He then goes to Jiu-Jitsu training before heading home to rest. He brings ideas by visualization and setting life goals while meditating. This mixture brews excellent ideas that prosper when implemented.

He is excited because there is a significant drop in smoking individuals in the USA. In the research done, it shows that people no longer smoke a lot. One of his wishes as if time could be reversed for him to find his passion. It is good to take things slowly before making up your mind to make the best choices and direction.

The secret to success is getting friends and employees who are smarter than you. They will shape one’s life to a proper direction. For someone to be fortunate, he/she needs to be reading; he recommends the book “Think and Grow Rich.” Written by Napoleon Hill.
